Research Computing

Research Computing The Research Computing Office currently provides access to two high performance computing (HPC) clusters. Simply speaking, an HPC cluster is a set of computers (nodes) that can collaborate to solve computational problems. These can typically be used for running large memory jobs, jobs that require large computational power using multiple nodes, or a large amount of jobs that can be executed in parallel.

Research Labs Khalifa University’s Research Laboratories Office provides an environment for increased alignment of research infrastructure investment to the University’s strategic research priorities forits centers as well as individual faculty. The office oversees many specialized shared and core labs and facilities, including the Analytical Chemistry and Biochemistry Core (ACBC) Laboratory, Electron Microscopy Facility, Fabrication Facility, Machine Shop, Materials Testing Laboratory, and the Solar and Device Characterization Laboratory.

Technology, Management & Innovation The Office of Technology Management & Innovation is responsible for the protection, management and commercialization of the University’s research discoveries. We work closely with faculty, researchers and students to identify transformational inventions and translate these inventions into viable business opportunities and commercial products through the formation of startups and/or technology licensing to industry partners. We support the entrepreneurial research-driven innovation ecosystem in the University to actively contribute to UAE’s knowledge-based economy.
